I am currently in private practice in Portola Valley and Menlo Park. I have office hours Monday through Friday. The Menlo Park location is a few blocks from Sacred Heart, Menlo School, Menlo College, and Menlo-Atherton High School. This office is 2 miles from Stanford University.
I work with all ages.
I have been honored by many different groups for my work with counseling, education, and philanthropic fundraising. I was recognized by the city of Los Angeles, the Lieutenant Governor of California, the counseling association of Atlanta Georgia, the Bay Area Career Women, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and the Lyon-Martin Women’s Health Center.
I have appeared in a professional capacity on various television programs including: Oprah, Geraldo, Donahue, 20/20, Television 4 in the United Kingdom, and Canadian Broadcasting.
I have spoken in various professional capacities to over 100,000 people in my career. This has been throughout the United States, Canada, England, and Holland. I have spoken about many different topics, including depression, anxiety, drugs and alochol addiction, sexual orientation, sexual performance, social-psychological issues, sexual abuse, trauma, defiant teenagers, teenage addictions, political topics, and just plain having fun with life!
I have worked in many settings since getting my degree in Counseling Psychology from USF in 1977. I spent five years at the UCSF Medical School in the Human Sexuality Department. I have worked at the locked psychiatric ward at Valley Medical Center and the psychiatric ward at San Jose Hospital. I have maintained a private practice since 1979 and this is where I currently work.
